Established in 1960 in Conegliano near Treviso, Alpina celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2020!

As the Company has been founded very close to the countryside, the Alpina story starts with the production of petrol-powered scythes for the agricultural industry. Before long, Alpina began to develop and sell a range of petrol chainsaws, which quickly became popular thanks to their superior performance, ease of use and reliability.

Today, Alpina is a strong, well-known brand recognised worldwide for its dependable, high-performance products, fresh design ideas and user-friendly ethos.

  1. Alpina is founded in Conegliano, a small town near Treviso
  2. A-70 is the first chainsaw fully produced by Alpina
  3. The product range is extended to include further types of garden machine
  4. Alpina, STIGA and other brands merge into Global Garden Products (GGP)
